Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: May 2, 2026

A.Hiroko understands that plans can change. This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations, refunds, and rescheduling are handled for our services, including boutique catering, cooking classes, workshops, pop-ups, menu planning, recipe development, and custom culinary concepts.

General Policy

A.Hiroko services require advance planning, ingredient purchasing, preparation time, and customized work. For this reason, deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing by A.Hiroko.

Specific payment, refund, and cancellation terms may vary depending on the service and will be outlined in your proposal, invoice, agreement, event listing, or written confirmation.

Catering & Private Events

Catering and private event bookings require a deposit to reserve the date.

Deposits are non-refundable. The deposit secures your event date and covers planning, administrative time, menu development, preparation, and initial purchasing.

Cancellations made after ingredients, supplies, rentals, staffing, or other event-related costs have been purchased or committed are not eligible for a refund for those costs.

Final balances, payment deadlines, cancellation terms, and any remaining refund eligibility will be outlined in your proposal, invoice, agreement, or written confirmation.

Cooking Classes, Workshops & Pop-Ups

Tickets or payments for cooking classes, workshops, and pop-up events are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing by A.Hiroko.

If you are unable to attend, you may contact A.Hiroko to request a transfer to another person or, when available, a credit toward a future event. Transfers or credits are approved at A.Hiroko’s discretion and depend on timing, availability, and the type of event.

If A.Hiroko cancels an event, participants will be offered a refund, credit, or rescheduled date.

Menu Planning, Recipe Development & Custom Culinary Concepts

Payments for menu planning, recipe development, consulting, and custom culinary work are non-refundable once work has begun.

Because these services involve creative planning, research, development time, and customized deliverables, refunds are not available after the project has started.

Rescheduling

A.Hiroko will make reasonable efforts to accommodate rescheduling requests when possible.

Rescheduling depends on availability, timing, service type, and whether costs have already been incurred. Additional fees may apply if rescheduling requires new ingredients, supplies, staffing, or preparation.

Weather, Emergencies & Circumstances Beyond Our Control

For outdoor events, clients are responsible for providing a suitable backup plan for weather-related concerns.

In the event of severe weather, emergencies, illness, natural disasters, travel disruptions, power outages, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control, A.Hiroko will make reasonable efforts to reschedule or adjust services when possible.

Refunds in these circumstances are not guaranteed and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
